Sustainability and values
The farm focuses on conserving and enhancing local ecosystems, protecting wildlife, and conserving water resources through integrated solid waste management, integrated crop management, and soil conservation. To provide a pleasant and safe environment for its employees, the farm is committed to providing fair treatment, good living conditions, health, and occupational safety, and maintaining good relations with both neighboring farms and the adjacent communities.
Our farm is committed to providing fair treatment, good living conditions, and occupational health and safety to all our workers, as well as maintaining respectful and collaborative relationships with the community and neighboring communities. This commitment also extends to the social sphere, as we focus on supporting both our workers and the various institutions within our reach. In the educational sphere, we have contributed financial aid and materials such as buckets of paint to improve local schools. Regarding housing, we have supported low-income families, improving the conditions of their homes to offer them a healthier and more dignified environment. We also provide financial support to churches, recognizing their importance in community life. All of these actions reflect our firm commitment to contributing to the well-being and development of those around us.
Our farms are committed to environmental conservation, focusing on ecosystem connectivity, wildlife protection, responsible water, soil, and solid waste management, as well as sustainable agricultural production. We operate under a management system that establishes policies, procedures, and records to identify risks, implement mitigation plans, and ensure continuous improvement, in line with certification standards. At Amiagro SA, our coffee production plan complies with national and international legal and commercial requirements, strengthening the quality and export of our product. As part of this commitment, we implement various operational plans: pruning, wildlife management, shade, climate change, fertilization, water optimization, and emergency protocols for accidents, earthquakes, and fires. All of this reflects our responsibility to sustainability and responsible agricultural development.
At our company, we work to generate long-term profitability without compromising the environment or social well-being by using resources efficiently, promoting social equity, and making sustainable economic decisions. Our goal is to create a healthier, safer, and more productive environment, improve the quality of life, strengthen social ties, and provide hope for a better future. Regarding personnel management, the hiring process for permanent workers is based on defined job profiles, prioritizing internal promotion or rotation whenever possible, in line with the organizational vision and values. For temporary workers, we comply with international conventions such as ILO Conventions 138 and 182, and national regulations such as Government Agreement No. 250-2006, ensuring that child labor and any form of discrimination are strictly prohibited. Our coffee growing policy focuses on respecting labor rights, raising awareness about the effects of child labor, and promoting ongoing training to diversify the income of those involved in coffee production.
